Making a difference in the community.
As illustrated in the History section, members of the Woman's Club of Palo Alto were pioneers in enhancing the quality of life for the community of Palo Alto throughout the 20th century. They led the way in times when few philanthropic institutions existed and government support of schools, libraries, and public health was more limited.
Each year members of the Club nominate non-profit organizations for consideration of support that year with a focus is on groups whose programs benefit women and children The number of grants varies from year to year. These include cultural, educational, and social service organizations. We are glad we are able to make a difference!
