What a day we had! Our first Museum Friday trip was booked to capacity. Where did we go? To the de Young for the special exhibit, Modernism from the National Gallery of Art: The Robert and Jane Meyerhoff Collection. This wonderful touring exhibition brings paintings by the great masters of the post-war world to San Francisco and featured works by Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, and Frank Stella, among others.
We lunched on the outdoor patio at special reserved tables, had plenty of time to tour other parts of the museum and shop. The best part of all?? No driving or parking! We arrived and departed by private bus.
