Featuring Wu Han, an acclaimed pianist and influential figure in the classical music world. Leading an unusually multifaceted career, she has risen to international prominence through her wide-ranging activities as a concert performer, recording artist, educator, arts administrator, and cultural entrepreneur. She is currently the co-Artistic Director of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Music@Menlo.


Pianist Wu Han ranks among the most esteemed and influential classical musicians in the world today. She appears regularly in many prestigious venues across the United States, Europe, and the Far East as both soloist and chamber musician, and has toured extensively as duo pianist with cellist David Finckel. In addition to her achievements on the stage, Wu Han's  résumé includes the stewardship of important arts organizations like Silicon Valley based Music@Menlo, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York, and Chamber Music Today in South Korea; a history of innovation in programming, recording, and outreach; and a commitment to fostering young talent. Along the way, she has built audiences and shaped a new wave of players.  In recognition for her remarkable work on and off the stage, Wu Han and Finckel were named Musical America’s 2012Musicians of the Year.
